CONVERSION IS ALWAYS INTERFERENCE WITH WHAT EXISTS AND THUS REPRESENTS THE MASTER DISCIPLINE OF PLANNING AND EXECUTION

Renovations and conversions requires different planning strategies compared to new construction. Planned changes need to be based on an indepth analysis of the existing building and site so that only necessary replacements are made and the existing value, which can still be used for many years, is not destroyed.

Properties should be prepared for their next phase of life with special respect for their existing qualities. This requires an in-depth knowledge of current, achievable conversion and renovation options.

Special knowledge is needed. Extensive experience in the building process and knowledge about buildings of previous generations are an advantage. Knowing different ways of setting goals with the client leads to the desired returns and ensures a building suitable for its planned use.

For this purpose, we have developed a unique workflow for the revitalization of existing buildings with Building Information Modeling (BIM), which permits a systematic analysis of the existing components in the planning phase. The results flow seamlessly into the renovation planning.
